System requirements

Supported Operating Systems: Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/Vista/7
Supported SQL Servers: Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008

Please note the details below are the minimum specifications for all Reckon Elite software.

Software Configuration Requirements
Common system requirements for all sofware configurations
  • Hard Disk 700-800 Mb (only if all modules installed). 1
  • Screen resolution set at least 800 x 600 with 16 bit True Color.
  • Internet / Modem for ELS lodgement. 3
Machines with the application installed only (database stored elsewhere on the network)
  • 512 Mb RAM required, 1Gb RAM recommended.
  • Pentium 4 or higher.
Machine where the database is being stored
- Practice Management: Embedded database
  • 512 Mb RAM required, 1Gb RAM recommended.
  • Pentium 4 or higher.
- Practice Management: Microsoft SQL Server 2005
  • 512 Mb RAM required, 1Gb RAM recommended.
  • Pentium 4 or higher.
- Practice Management: Microsoft SQL Server 2008
  • 512 Mb RAM required, 2Gb RAM recommended.
  • Pentium 4 or higher.
Classic Editions
  • 256 Mb RAM.
  • Pentium III or higher.

Please note:

  1. The above requirements do not include the size of the database. Database size can vary from less than 100 Megabytes to several Gigabytes, depending on the client base.
  2. Where running various operating systems or variants of the above, users should also take into account other third party software system requirements and affect on system performance.
  3. 64-bit ELS transmissions will be available for Tax 2010.
