- Recognising the advantages of working with well respected industry veterans who were not tied to large 'user-unfriendly' corporations, the Australian Taxation Office awarded Elite Practice Solutions the contract to develop the high profile e-tax software product in 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003, which was used by more than 880,000 Australian taxpayers.

Unlike other 'major players' in the software industry, we spend more time and capital on testing our software than we do writing it. For example, e-tax 2003 did not require any patches or fixes, a position our competitors could not even come close to matching.
- Elite Practice Solutions was aquired by Reckon Limited in March 2006, and the company name was changed to Reckon Elite as it is now known today.
- At present, Reckon Elite currently services 1,800 tax and accounting firms including H&R Block (250 offices nationwide), the largest preparers of individual tax returns in Australia.
